A journey of understanding the whole person

We For You grew from a journey that brings together medicine, psychology, holistic wellbeing, community and spirituality.

Portrait to follow

Our founder's academic journey spans eight years of medical studies, a Master's degree in Psychology and doctoral-level research exploring loneliness, psychological wellbeing, online social support and the role of digital communities in adult mental health.

Her professional experience has included work within the court environment, therapeutic support for children affected by trauma, and trauma-focused work within cancer rehabilitation.

These experiences strengthened something she had come to believe deeply: human wellbeing cannot always be understood by looking at the body, mind or circumstances separately.

Looking at the whole person

Alongside her academic and professional journey, she developed a deep interest in holistic health, natural living and the relationship between lifestyle and wellbeing.

Her continuing research and learning have explored nutrition, herbs, seeds and traditional approaches to wellbeing, including naturopathy, Ayurveda, Unani and Tibb, alongside her understanding of medicine and psychology.

For her, holistic wellbeing was never about rejecting conventional medicine or professional psychological support.

It was about looking at the person more completely.

Physical health.

Emotional wellbeing.

Lifestyle.

Relationships.

Community.

Purpose.

Environment.

Spirituality.

Each can influence the way we experience life.

A search that went beyond psychology

Spirituality had always been part of her life.

Raised within the Catholic Christian tradition, she believed deeply in a spiritual dimension to human existence, yet continued searching for a deeper connection with the Creator and a fuller understanding of the human soul.

Her study of psychology was part of that wider curiosity about what lies within the human being. The very idea of the psyche, historically associated with the soul, reflected questions that interested her far beyond behaviour and mental processes alone.

She continued searching for truth, meaning and inner peace.

That journey eventually led her to Islam.

Rather than spirituality being something she discovered only after becoming Muslim, Islam brought clarity and coherence to many things she had already been searching for.

The Islamic understanding of fitrah — the natural disposition upon which human beings are created — particularly resonated with her.

The importance of caring for the body, nurturing the soul, moderation, community, responsibility, compassion, connection with the Creator and living according to our natural disposition began to fit together within one coherent understanding of life.

For her, becoming Muslim was a point at which many pieces of a much longer journey finally came together.

From understanding to giving back

After becoming Muslim, her journey increasingly became about giving back to the community and putting years of knowledge, research and experience into something that could benefit others.

She believed meaningful support should not always be reduced to a financial transaction.

People can exchange something equally valuable: time, knowledge, experience, compassion, skills, encouragement and service.

This understanding of contribution, community and mutual support became part of the thinking that eventually developed into We For You.

Her research into loneliness, psychological wellbeing, social support and digital communities reinforced the importance of something increasingly missing from modern life: genuine human connection.

People do not always need another service.

Sometimes they need someone to listen.

Sometimes they need knowledge.

Sometimes they need healthier routines.

Sometimes they need professional support.

Sometimes they need community.

Sometimes they need an opportunity to contribute themselves.

And sometimes they are searching for meaning and spiritual connection.

The Journey Became We For You

We For You was created around this whole-person understanding of wellbeing.

It is not designed to replace medicine, psychological treatment or other appropriate professional care.

Nor does it assume that every struggle requires therapy.

Instead, We For You creates different pathways through which people can learn, grow, connect, live more healthily, contribute, find support and explore their spiritual wellbeing.

Our foundations are shaped by authentic Islamic values of compassion, responsibility, service and human dignity, while the platform remains welcoming and respectful to people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Because wellbeing is rarely one-dimensional.

Mind. Body. Lifestyle. Relationships. Community. Purpose. Spirituality.

We For You exists to help people bring those parts of life back into connection.
