I can’t exactly remember,
But it was somewhere in December.
I went to the store with my Grandma,
To buy a lovely cake for my Grandpa.
I thought of what flavor cake I should take?
What icing? Which filling? What design?
then I saw that delicious cake,
And I wanted it to be mine.
Then came a young man.
He chose my cake to buy.
He looked at me and as though he read my plan,
I looked like I would start to cry.
He offered me that lovely treat,
In the sweetest and kindest way.
I went to the counter to pay for the sweet,
But grandma didn’t have enough to pay.
We left the cake at the counter
and decided to go home.
My lovely dreams began to shatter,
Then I saw the same man come.
He offered me the cake that he bought,
I was mesmerized.
The act of kindness he had taught,
was so neatly disguised.
“An act of kindness,
Will surely ripple.”
Follow and listen,
it’s very simple.
Like the man in the queue,
Offer support when someone cries.
Just offering a simple tissue,
would turn you into a HERO in somebody’s eye’s.
