1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of all individuals working with or representing WE FOR YOU WORLD LTD. It exists to:

  • Promote safe, respectful, and ethical practice
  • Protect participants, staff, volunteers, and the organisation
  • Support safeguarding, equality, and professional boundaries
  • Maintain trust, integrity, and organisational reputation

2. Scope

This Code applies to

  • Director(s)
  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Contractors and consultants
  • Anyone acting on behalf of WE FOR YOU WORLD LTD

It applies across all activities, including

  • In-person and online services
  • Events, retreats, and workshops
  • Communications, marketing, and digital platforms

3. Core values and expectations

All individuals must:

  • Act with integrity, honesty, and respect
  • Treat others fairly and without discrimination
  • Uphold the organisation’s values and policies
  • Act in the best interests of participant safety and wellbeing

4. Professional behaviour

Individuals must:

  • Behave in a respectful, professional, and appropriate manner
  • Communicate clearly, politely, and responsibly
  • Avoid abusive, threatening, or inappropriate language or behaviour
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times

Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination will not be tolerated.

5. Safeguarding responsibilities

All individuals must:

  • Understand and follow safeguarding procedures
  • Act immediately if they have concerns about harm or risk
  • Never ignore, minimise, or conceal safeguarding concerns
  • Cooperate fully with safeguarding investigations

Safeguarding duties override confidentiality where required by law or policy.

6. Boundaries and scope of role

Individuals must:

  • Operate strictly within their agreed role and competence
  • Not provide clinical, therapeutic, medical, or crisis intervention services
  • Avoid dependency, dual relationships, or inappropriate contact
  • Not present themselves as the sole source of support

Service boundaries are defined in the Service Scope & Boundaries Policy.

7. Equality, diversity, and inclusion

All individuals must:

  • Promote equality, dignity, and inclusion
  • Respect protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010
  • Make reasonable adjustments where appropriate
  • Challenge discriminatory behaviour where safe to do so

8. Confidentiality and information sharing

Individuals must:

  • Respect confidentiality and data protection requirements
  • Handle personal data lawfully and securely
  • Share information only where appropriate and authorised
  • Follow the Information Sharing & Confidentiality Policy

Confidentiality may be overridden where safeguarding or legal duties apply.

9. Conflicts of interest

Individuals must:

  • Declare any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest
  • Not participate in decisions where a conflict exists
  • Follow the Conflicts of Interest Policy

Failure to declare conflicts may result in removal from role.

10. Use of digital platforms and communication

Individuals must:

  • Use organisation-approved communication channels
  • Maintain professionalism online and offline
  • Not share confidential or sensitive information inappropriately
  • Follow the Online Delivery Policy and Digital Safeguarding Policy

11. Health, safety, and wellbeing

Individuals must:

  • Follow health and safety guidance and instructions
  • Take reasonable care of their own safety and that of others
  • Report hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly
  • Cooperate with risk assessments and safety procedures

12. Reporting concerns or breaches

Concerns about conduct must be reported:

  • To the Director or Safeguarding Lead
  • In line with the Incident Reporting Procedure
  • Without fear of retaliation

Reports will be handled fairly, sensitively, and proportionately.

13. Breaches of the Code

Breaches of this Code may result in:

  • Guidance or additional training
  • Supervision or restrictions on role
  • Suspension or removal from role
  • Referral to external authorities where required

Serious breaches may result in immediate action.

14. Monitoring and review

  • This Code is reviewed annually
  • Updates are made following incidents, feedback, or legal changes
  • Compliance is monitored through supervision and governance processes

15. Approval

Approved by the Director, WE FOR YOU WORLD LTD, on 1 February 2026. Next review due 1 February 2027. Version 1.0.

16. Acknowledgement and agreement

By agreeing to this Code (for example, in your application), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with it while working with or representing WE FOR YOU WORLD LTD. You understand that:

  • Compliance with this Code is a condition of your role
  • Safeguarding responsibilities override confidentiality where required
  • Breaches of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including removal from role

You agree to always act in line with the organisation’s values, policies, and safeguarding duties.
